Horizon Bank Awards $5,000 Donation to NAACP LaPorte County

Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the donation given to National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) LaPorte in the amount of $5,000.

This contribution will directly support NAACP LaPorte County's Soul Power Program, which provides training in solar installation and infrastructure for 35 students. Upon completion, participants have the opportunity for on-the-job training with non-union companies and the potential to register for the IBEW Local 531 apprenticeship electrician program. The program equips students with essential technical skills, preparing them for sustainable careers in renewable energy while benefiting the local community.
