Horizon Bank Announces William F. Johnson as Community Lender

Michigan City, IN – Cindy Kirkham, Horizon Bank’s Sr. Community Development Officer, is pleased to announce William F. Johnson as Community Lender.

Johnson joined Horizon in 2020. He has thirty-five years of experience in the banking and mortgage industry combined, previously working in roles including Loan Officer, Business Banker, and Financial Center Manager. In his new role, Johnson will provide financial support and work with low to moderate income communities to succeed in becoming homeowners, and provide grant opportunities to families and small businesses as well as community outreach. He will serve the Indianapolis, Columbus, Lafayette and Kokomo areas.

Johnson is a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, attended Indiana University and served in the Army for nine years, resigning his Army Office Commission as 1^ST Lieutenant, Field Artillery firing direction officer. He often volunteers within his community at the Gleaners’ Food Bank, local community centers, habitat for humanity and provides financial classes in the Indianapolis Public Schools, Job Corp and women and men shelters.
