24/7 Debit Card Monitoring with Instant Text Alerts

Protecting your online banking account is more important than ever. To stay secure, it’s essential to keep your browser updated, safeguard your passwords, and receive alerts so you can monitor activity in real time.

At Horizon Bank, we take your security seriously. One of the ways we help protect your debit card is through our EnFact fraud detection program. This service sends real-time text alerts to your mobile phone, allowing you to quickly confirm or deny suspicious transactions. With this added layer of security, you can feel confident knowing we’re actively monitoring your account.

How does it work?
As a Horizon debit cardholder, you are automatically enrolled in EnFact and no action is required on your part. If a transaction on your account appears unusual, you will receive a text message with details of the suspected charge. Simply reply YES to confirm the transaction or NO to report it as unauthorized.

If you indicate the charge is fraudulent, you’ll receive a follow-up message with additional instructions to help resolve the issue quickly.

What happens if my card information has been compromised?

In the event that you confirm fraud has taken place, your card will be blocked or restricted to prevent additional fraudulent transactions from posting, and Horizon Bank will cancel your card.

Additional Tips to Keep Your Account Secure:

  • Never share your debit card number, PIN, or online banking credentials.
  • Be cautious of unexpected calls, texts, or emails asking for personal information.
  • Avoid using public Wi-Fi when accessing your banking apps or accounts.
  • Regularly review your account activity for any unfamiliar transactions.
